If you've ever wanted to try your hand at one of the world’s most famous (and most addictive) sports, this treat’s for you. Anthony Doyle, Head Golf Professional at the Christchurch Golf Club (now ranked #1 in Canterbury) is lending his golfing expertise.
Anthony Doyle has held P.G.A Member 'AA' Status since 2002, and best finish of 8th at the NZ Golf Open at Clearwater Resort. With his experience including competing in three NZ Opens and six NZ PGA Champs, he'll have you perfecting your game in no time.
Your coaching session doesn't have to be just on your driving and full swing, as areas of your short game and putting can be looked at also - just talk to Anthony about what part of your game you'd like to improve. Golf lessons are available to golfers of all abilities, from beginners to advanced players.
If you go for the video analysis option, you'll experience the 'V1' Video Coaching Programme on an Apple iPad. Located at the Shirley Links Golf Shop at the Christchurch Golf Club, you'll enjoy fantastic undercover facilities and driving range, with both grassed and driving range mats used for coaching.
You can purchase multiple vouchers, so you may want to start with 30 minute lesson before you come back another day for the 1 hour on course golf lesson.
With the 1 hour on course option, you'll play holes in a golf cart for an hour, with many elements to this time on the course. The course provides different areas of play such as up hill and down hill lies, bunkers high and low shots, lob/high shots over hazards, bump and run shots around the greens, course management and working on the golfers "Pre shot Routine". You don’t have to work on all these areas but is a great lesson to be on the course and help identify areas which you need to be improved on.
